Claudine Hamm, Creative Director and Chief Operating Officer, is continuing the tradition of her Aunt Alyce, by designing the Alyce Designs 2011 Spring collections, as well as the exquisite Claudine for Alyce Designs Bridal collection, continuing with her unique and extraordinary designs.
Alyce Designs has an impressive number of collections, ranging from After Five Cocktail, Black Label, Bridal, Prom, Special Occasion, Quinceanera, and much more.
Rene Hamm, Director of Sales, and Steven Nardi, multi-media manager of Alyce Designs, approached Amadeus Consulting to create an iPhone™ application to appeal to its teen audiences, many of who use smartphones.
"Backstage at our shows, the models are constantly on their iPhones, which initially sparked the idea that we could reach our teen audiences through their mobile phones. We knew that our target audience primarily used the iPhone, so this was a natural first step in the mobile arena," said Rene of the initial concept behind the Alyce Designs Prom iPhone app.
Additionally, Rene and his team were looking to generate additional efficiencies from their print budget and desired more sustainable and distributable way to advertise to their target audience. Alyce Designs decided to use the ad spend from one print ad to dedicate towards its mobile initiative.
After Steven conducted extensive research on mobile application development, Alyce Designs approached Amadeus Consulting because it knew that they were one of the leading iPhone app developers in Colorado. Additionally, our team is familiar with efficient and budget-friendly mobile application development.
The idea behind Alyce Designs' iPhone application was to create a similar feel to its catalog, but allow teen users much more interactivity with the prom dress collections, (i.e., trunk show dates, social functions, store locators, etc.). The challenge as always with mobile application development is to encapsulate the essence of a company into a much smaller-scale application. For Alyce Designs the key to this was to capture the thrill, excitement and glamour of prom into the iPhone app, while making it fun and interactive for teen users. The goal was to get girls excited about finding that perfect prom dress, and sharing it with friends and other iPhone app users.
