Amadeus Consulting, a custom software development company, announced today that it has completed the process to become PACE (Partners for a Clean Environment) certified.
The yearly certification program highlights four main areas of sustainability in businesses: integration of environmental practices in management, energy efficiency, water conservation and quality and resource management. Each business is required to fulfill all core criteria in each section, as well as additional elective criteria that serve as goals for the next certification year.
For example, one of the core criteria is to achieve 35% waste diversion. Amadeus Consulting currently diverts nearly 90% of their trash away from landfills - with 50 employees generating a mere one bag of trash per week.
"I am proud to be recognized for our sustainability efforts. From the time Amadeus Consulting was founded in 1994 through today, we have been committed to delivering innovative technology solutions for our clients that make a difference, while at the same time building sustainability into the Guiding Principles of our organization," notes John Basso, Amadeus Consulting's Chief Information Officer.
This distinction is an important one for Amadeus Consulting, whose sustainability efforts have aided in launching BLAST! (Business Leaders in Action for Sustainability Today)!, a free, Web-based community of like-minded businesses sharing ideas to create a better, cleaner, and greener work environment. In fact, the PACE certification process is one of the specific recommendations made by BLAST! in order to create an environmentally-conscious and active company.
Amadeus Consulting is pleased to be PACE certified and looks forward to meeting the projected goals to remain a dynamically charged, environmentally -friendly software company. For more information regarding PACE Certification or BLAST, visit
