Amadeus Consulting, a
custom software development company, is expanding its online knowledge-base and blog to include a new section written by and for developers. The new section will be called Dev Insider and can be found at http://blog.amadeusconsulting.com.
The articles will be written primarily by Steve Loper, the Senior Quality Engineer at Amadeus Consulting, although other developers will also contribute insights as well. Loper has been with the company since 1995 and has been recognized by Microsoft as a "Most Valuable Professional" and he is also recognized as one of the top Microsoft .NET application developers and SQL Server Database architects in the country.
"We have very strong internal training resources and we'd like to make that same quality of information available to clients and the developer community," Loper said. "For us, it is a fun opportunity to share ideas, tips and commentary on tech issues from a developer's point of view."
As the company works with a wide range of clients and technologies, developers at Amadeus Consulting become very skilled on a range of platforms, which gives them a unique understanding of the differences and nuances between similar technologies. This perspective helps them in a consulting and development role, but also can provide value to a broader development community.
"We are already very involved in local developer communities, but we also wanted a platform for the company that would allow us to share different thoughts and ideas in an informal way," Loper said. "The blog format is perfect for what we are hoping to build, and we hope it will be as interesting to others outside of the company as it is for us."
Dev Insider can be found as a section on the company blog at http://blog.amadeusconsulting.com. Amadeus Consulting also has other technology-specific areas of the blog that focus on specific topics. These include Calkins on Creative, a UI/UX blog that focuses on rich Internet application development and is written by the CEO of the company, a Search Marketing and SEO blog written by the search visibility manager, and a Smartphone developer blog written by the mobile team lead.
