Custom software development and online marketing solutions company Amadeus Consulting once again participated in the Colorado Business Marketing Association's (BMA) 4th annual Junior Achievement In-A-Day program on November 11, 2011. The program pairs business professionals with K-12 students to provide insight into the business environment. Volunteers teach students financial literacy and strategies for successful leadership and entrepreneurship.
The program's mission seeks to "inspire and prepare young people to embrace free enterprise and succeed in the global economy," according to the BMA website. Shadowing business leaders in specialized fields like technology allow youth to ask questions about changing business practices to gain a better understanding of how the technology industry is going global.
"It's such a rewarding experience to teach our future generation some of the successful business practices and strategies we've accumulated through the years," said Monica Valdez, marketing director for Amadeus Consulting. "Having this program for youth is so important in today's changing and globalized business economy."
Monica has been a member of the Colorado BMA since 2006. This is the second year Amadeus Consulting participated in the program. Last year the program hosted more than 100,000 students throughout metro Denver, partnering with 3,400 business volunteers with involvement from more than 75 companies.
