Redmond, Washington - Amadeus Consulting, a Boulder-based custom software development company, was chosen today as the winner of the Microsoft Office XP National Solutions Challenge in the Healthcare Category for its work on the Ascriptus project.
The solutions were chosen based on their "ability to deliver exceptional value and enable companies to rapidly access information and create content, as well as easily capture and share business knowledge."
The winning project was a solution developed for Ascriptus Inc, a healthcare service provider who approached Amadeus Consulting with the need to revolutionize medical transcriptions. Through this challenge Amadeus Consulting created an HIPAA compliant solution for Ascriptus Inc.
Amadeus Consulting leveraged XML-enabled, Pocket PC applications, fault tolerant, secure intranet portals and an Office XP-enabled transcriptionist workbench to improve the accuracy of medical record transcriptions, both advancing medical practices and saving time and money.
Of the challenge, Microsoft said, "The overwhelming response to the contest demonstrates that developers and their customers recognize the business value of Office XP and the finalists have created groundbreaking solutions using the innovations in Office XP."
