Amadeus Consulting,
a custom software development company, recently joined the City of Boulder's "10 for Change," a dedicated program to reducing energy usage by 10 percent in the coming year.
10 for Change is a partnership between the City of Boulder and Xcel Energy designed to track participating businesses' energy usage, and challenge them to reduce their energy usage by at least 10 percent in the coming year. Additionally, the program gives specific guidance and tangible ways that companies can start reducing their energy bills immediately.
Amadeus Consulting is a natural fit for this program as the company also runs a non-profit organization called BLAST! (Business Leaders in Action for Sustainability Today), which trains local and nationwide business leaders to reduce their organization's environmental footprint from top-down. Amadeus Consulting has had much success with BLAST!, and looks forward to incorporating the tools learned from 10 for Change.
On being a part of the 10 for Change initiative, John Basso, Amadeus Consulting's Chief Information Officer and Founder of BLAST! said, "It's great to find new ways to decrease our footprint, even more so when it is a collective effort with several local companies.
