Betty's Buzz approached Amadeus Consulting to create the business networking site as a result of both Amadeus Consulting's solid reputation and its passion for finding creative solutions for startup businesses. Betty's Buzz and Shari Regenbogen wanted to create a unique and affordable online community where women business professionals could interact with one another in an immediate and responsive environment. Betty's Buzz is designed to be an online medium for women to connect, network and give and receive expert advice.
Betty's Buzz desired Amadeus Consulting to find a unique way to create a social networking site in an affordable model that could grow with the business. Amadeus Consulting's existing online community assets - which include a business networking format site that features a bulletin board of ongoing events, an email list to reach its members and a question and answer forum - provided the foundation. Betty's Buzz additional requirements were identified which included the need for a blog and a means to monetize the site through sponsorship and membership. When Betty's Buzz decided to move forward using Amadeus Consulting's cost-effective and reliable social networking platform, Webs of Life, Betty's Buzz was born.
Betty's Buzz was conceived in Boulder, Colorado by Shari Regenbogen, a successful entrepreneur who has undertaken several other endeavors. Betty's Buzz is a business networking site designed to give working women the opportunity to mentor one another by level of experience, industry or locality. Additionally it acts as a powerful way for women to connect. Shari Regenbogen, its manager and co-founder, was influenced by limited experiences in other networking sites, and wanted to create a more interactive experience.
From experience working with several start-up and entrepreneurial endeavors, Amadeus Consulting knows how important working within a specific budget is. Our goal in creating Betty's Buzz was to maximize the number of features Shari could provide for her site within the given budget. As a result of the Webs of Life platform, we were able to meet and exceed those expectations.
Amadeus Consulting was charged with creating a community site that could be easily controlled from every level, including public access and administrative levels. Betty's Buzz runs off of the Webs of Life micro sites platform created by Amadeus Consulting. This platform enabled Betty's Buzz to significantly reduce the overall cost of development and yet make available features that other community sites were not providing. The challenge that was met was to create a site that was attractive and functional for women business professionals around the country to communicate, discuss and interact directly with one another.
Betty's Buzz was successfully deployed in October of 2008. The blog is written and illustrated by Shari Regenbogen. The blog features anecdotes and a "tips wand" from mentorship columnists. Amadeus Consulting continues to add new ways for women to creatively interact every month.
