Project Manager
Amadeus Consulting, Boulder, Colorado's premier technology consulting firm, is currently seeking a project manager to join our team.
Key Role Summary:
Responsible for project management functions, resources and tools. Role will generate and apply resource and process metrics to optimize project planning to meet or exceed scope, schedule and budget while they work to continually improve and refine process management and client communication concurrently supporting development team members, especially team leads, and other staff members as appropriate to the project or initiative at hand including Directors and executives.
Essential Functions:
- Define standard internal and external project status reporting mechanisms
- Ensure all project related milestone steps occur and are documented including client acknowledgement per Amadeus Consulting process.
- Maintain designated Customer Relationship Management tool (i.e. Salesforce) data on a consistent basis to ensure accurate internal knowledge transfer and coordination.
- Prepare appropriate collateral material to professionally support client relationship management.
- Plan logistics for client meetings and trips
- Define engagement process by identifying role specific tasks, engagement milestones and phases
- Refine engagement process using embedded metrics aligned with strategic objectives
- Participate in status meetings with Producer and Team Leads to maintain consistency, monitor process, and document status
- Track project budget and ensure accurate time reporting by development teams
- Conduct project post-mortems to review intermediate outcomes during the course of the project to facilitate process refinement
- Prioritize with clients, team leads, and Directors to manage and effectively communicate implications around changes to the three levers (scope, budget and schedule).
- Define communication standards that meet (or exceed!) client expectations consistently. Offer support in creating customizable communication plans as appropriate to meet the specific needs of the client.
- Ensure time is tracked properly for accurate billing and budget monitoring
- Define engagement related processes, monitor process for needed improvements, and educate engagement stakeholders on process.
- Coordinate project logistics, information flow, and data maintenance for both external and internal engagement stakeholders.
- Identify and manage process tools (i.e. CRM, time tracking, resource planning)
Minimum Professional Job Requirements:
- BS Degree
- 2-5 years of progressive, professional development experience
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong process definition and refinement ability
- Strong client communication and coordination ability
Minimum Technical Requirements:
- Strong to expert MS Excel skills
- Familiarity with or exposure to a CRM tool, preferably SalesForce
- Intermediate to Advanced other MS Office suite
