Fuser develops Internet tools to help streamline digital lifestyles. Its tools "fuse" together e-mail accounts, social networking accounts and any other community networks so users can easily and efficiently manage their online lifestyle.
Fuser was founded in 2006 by Colorado entrepreneur Jared Polis. A survey commissioned by the founders of Fuser found that 87 percent of US Internet users spend at least seven hours a week managing e-mail and social networking accounts. Other surveys have discovered similar results. The idea of fusing together the online lifestyle was developed to solve this problem.
Fuser has a talented development team of its own, but needed some assistance with AJAX.NET and JavaScript programming. After months of trying to find an experienced and qualified developer with little success, Fuser came to Amadeus Consulting to utilize its expertise and knowledge in these frameworks.
Amadeus Consulting first assisted in correcting defects in the existing system. Then, a new Twitter panel was coded which dropped down to display "tweets" after retrieving them from Twitter's Web service. We also wrote and CSS-styled the MySpace application's home page and profile page application. Finally, Amadeus Consulting helped code the Facebook application. The difficult challenge with Facebook was correctly displaying the wall posts with the author's information and picture in Internet Explorer 6 and 7 and FireFox.
Most of the programming was written in JavaScript using the Ext 1.1 and Ext 2.0 JavaScript libraries (e.g. a GridView, TreeView, Panels, etc.). Some of the coding was in C# and ASP.NET writing handlers similar to Web Services to get data from AJAX requests. Much of the CSS styling is written by Amadeus Consulting. The result was a successful launch of Fuser.com with advanced capabilities to ensure a high-quality user experience.
