Leanin' Tree greeting cards have been an American tradition since 1949. The company grew from a product selection of just four Western Christmas cards to a selection of over 3,000 unique greeting cards in a multitude of themes for everyday occasions and major holidays. It is one of the largest alternative greeting card companies in the nation shipping more than 40 million greeting cards a year from its company headquarters in Boulder, Colorado.
Leanin' Tree's current website was outdated and required added flexibility for browsing as well as a maintainable platform that would allow for future enhancements. Leanin' Tree also needed an application created for users to design professionally printed greeting cards by uploading their own personal photos. Leanin' Tree chose Amadeus Consulting because of our deep experience in programming e-commerce platforms.
Amadeus Consulting began by re-writing the e-commerce platform in .NET with ability to easily incorporate future enhancements. We built a dynamic browsing catalog where products were no longer confined to strict categories and the search and browsing features were improved. Amadeus Consulting integrated the system with Leanin' Tree's SAP inventory management system.
In addition, Amadeus Consulting developed the personalized greeting cards application for users to upload their own photos. Using Flash technology, the user interface was built for simplicity and ease of use. Known for being the company that does "the hard stuff", we programmed the system to allow high-quality prints that integrate with other companies where professionally printed cards can be run in small batches, all while keeping the interface simple for the customer.
Leanin' Tree was impressed with the results of the new system and quickly received positive customer feedback. Amadeus Consulting continues its working relationship with Leanin' Tree with more projects on the horizon.
