Amadeus Consulting, a Boulder-based custom application development company ranks number 33 on the Boulder County Business Report's annual Mercury 100 list. This marks the 5th year that the software application development company has been on the list. The Mercury 100 is a list of distinguished rapid-growing companies in Boulder and Broomfield counties, and is highly regarded as the businesses on the list are poised for increased growth and recognition.
The Mercury 100 List and awards is one of Boulder County Business Report's longest running recognition events. The Boulder County Business Report prides itself in rewarding the entrepreneurial and innovative culture of companies in Boulder and Broomfield counties.
The annual list and awards ceremony honors companies that are experiencing rapid growth not just within one year, but over a two year period of time. The list is designed to show continued growth in recognition of companies that will likely become household names. The list is separated into the top 50 companies with revenue over $2 million and the top 50 companies with less than $2 million in revenue. The award recognizes a diverse set of companies each year in the fast-paced and entrepreneurial hub that is Boulder County. In the past, the Mercury 100 list has included Eco-Products, Simple Solar Electric Systems, Aero Solutions and many more.
Amadeus Consulting in particular has been on the list not only because of the company's enterprise-level custom application development, but also as a result of the company's expanding mobile application development services. With the explosion that iPhoneTM and mobile application development has seen over the past few years, Amadeus Consulting created a team entirely dedicated to mobile app development.
"For us, it was critical to create this team in order to keep up with the market and the demand we were encountering. The team allows us to have internally focused developers who are able to streamline the app development process in order to create high-quality and solution-oriented apps for our clients quickly and efficiently. It has been a fun ride to work with many mobile entrepreneurs and be at the ground floor of mobile app development," said CEO Lisa Calkins discussing one of the factors that has led to the company's substantial growth.
In addition to the mobile app development, Amadeus Consulting also offers mobile application promotion to existing or new clients. This service is intended to help mobile entrepreneurs take the next step after development, to promote the app in order to increase awareness and downloads. The promotion team accomplishes this by reaching out to key media contacts as well as mobile app development reviewers in order to broaden the awareness of the app itself.
Lisa states that the creation of the mobile app promotion service came as a response from Amadeus Consulting's clients, "Many were experiencing frustration because standing out in a pool of 300,000 apps is challenging. This allows us to help our clients make their apps successful and distinctive in the marketplace. It is this agile response to market demand that will allow us to grow and evolve and hopefully to continue to be nominated with future Mercury 100 classes."
The Mercury 100 class of 2011 was honored at an after-hours awards ceremony and networking event in the Flatiron Park complex on May 17th, 2011.
