The Denver Business Journal announced today that Lisa Calkins, president of Boulder-based custom software development company Amadeus Consulting, was a recipient of an Outstanding Women in Business 2008 award. The awards, presented annually, recognize women of excellence in business and the community based on innovation, entrepreneurship, professional accomplishment and community leadership.
Lisa is a dedicated community leader and respected mentor to many colleagues and associates. She is a former president of the Colorado Federation of Business and Professional Women, a national non-profit organization dedicated to helping women achieve economic self-sufficiency by advancing careers, building businesses and advocating workplace equality. Lisa also served two terms as president of the Boulder BPW, one of largest local business organizations in the country.
Winners will be recognized in the Denver Business Journal, as well as at a luncheon among other honorees including, Diane Gibson of Craters and Freighters and Katherine Scherping of Red Robin and many others.
