Amadeus Consulting, a leading custom software development company, today announced the completion of an advanced survey system developed for Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), the nation's principal membership association for the medical group practice profession. The custom survey application will streamline the aggregation of critical practice data and provide key performance benchmarks and industry trends to MGMA members.

MGMA members manage 12,500 organizations representing 270,000 practicing physicians. They include healthcare executives, administrators, board members, and other industry professionals. As part of its mission to support the continuous improvement of medical group practice professionals and their organizations, MGMA conducts extensive industry research, including surveys to gather practice management data from its members. The resulting analysis of key industry metrics and trends are used by MGMA members to make their practices more successful.

MGMA selected Amadeus Consulting to design and develop the system with a large-scale, multi-phase development effort. The survey system is now in production with immediate cost savings and logistical advantages throughout the program in administration, distribution, data entry, analysis and reporting. Online surveys enable real-time validation of responses and ensure the quality and integrity of survey data. The accelerated survey cycle, from survey creation to published results and analysis, will provide more current industry data to MGMA members.

The system provides many advanced capabilities to assist MGMA administrators with all aspects of program operations including a custom survey builder and tools for managing multiple survey projects, solicitation tracking, response intake operations and data editing processes. Validation of responses is based on custom formulas with multiple criteria and control over answer ranges and error messages. A survey portal provides participants with a more efficient way to submit data and obtain results including powerful, interactive reporting with advanced data visualization.

Amadeus developed the MGMA Survey system using Microsoft’s .NET Framework, architected with a flexible data model and separate presentation layer for maximum stability, maintainability and scalability.
