ShotVision is the product of Nabil Dajani's work to bring something exciting and innovative to golf and golf instruction. Over six years ago when smartphone technology was not available, Nabil wanted to find a way to digitize the golf instruction that he found in magazines. He wanted to take golf instruction off the pages of magazines and create something that could be digitized and transported on to the course. His first incarnation of the ShotVision app used the View-Master and high resolution photos in order to give golfers step-by-step instruction on golf swings that they could take to the course. His second version of ShotVision was a handheld device that golfers could take with them onto the course.
"I saw a great need for mobility and interactivity with golf instruction. Static picture-based golf instruction has been around forever, and nothing new had been introduced to the market in quite some time. I thought of this idea long before smartphones were available and am so excited to have a platform that allows for innovative instruction," says Nabil Dajani on the inspiration behind Shot Vision.
After the initial idea, Nabil began building his contacts and reaching out to individual golfers to help him with this project.
Nabil came to Amadeus Consulting to create the ShotVision iPhoneTM app, as a way to make innovative and high-tech golf instruction readily available to golfers. He chose Amadeus Consulting because he felt that the mobile application development team had proven value and would become a long-term partner for the ShotVision iPhone app and many other projects.
Nabil's business goals for the project included building an iPhone application to promote his extensive library of extremely high-resolution videos on golf instruction, shot with several different golf pros. He saw ShotVision as an innovative and instructive video library to be available on an iPhone app. Through the ShotVision app, he wanted to give users the ability to purchase and view individual instructor lessons, learn more about their own personal golf needs and be able to interact with the iPhone app to improve swings, positions and much more.
Using high-tech 120 frame per second cameras, Nabil and ShotVision shot hundreds of golf instruction videos in multiple angles with well-known golfers Se Ri Pak, a five time major winner, JB Holmes, one of the longest hitters on the PGA Tour, Fred Funk, a 25-year PGA Tour veteran, Brian Mogg, a Top 100 teacher, and Brad Faxon, one of the greatest putters of all time. The videos themselves demonstrate critical points in the shot, in order to instruct and allow golfers to emulate.
The Amadeus Consulting mobile application development team is known for the ability to get up-to-speed quickly, and after overcoming some initial technical challenges the team quickly realigned and began development on the ShotVision application.
Amadeus Consulting's mobile app developers created the iPhone app version of ShotVision, incorporating the extensive video library. ShotVision allows users to view golfers from multiple angles, while the app highlights critical points in the shot and gives tips on how to achieve success.
"I see ShotVision growing and adding to its already extensive and impressive list of golfers, while adding features that further instruct golfers on how to optimize their shots," says Nabil on the future of ShotVision.
A true pioneer in golf instruction, ShotVision iPhone app has the most golf shot videos in multiple angles available on the market today, and is available in both English and Korean. ShotVision is looking to expand its offerings, and will soon be available on the AndroidTM platform as well.
