Specpan, a subsidiary of the Farnsworth Group, is a national specialty online panel provider for a range of industries, especially the construction and building materials industries. Located in Indianapolis, Indiana and Denver, Colorado, Specpan has become an expert in the development of surveys and online research panels that measure qualitative and quantitative results to give companies specific insight into their customers. A friend to Amadeus Consulting, Specpan owner Grant Farnsworth knew of our track record of success building and integrating survey applications. Specpan approached Amadeus Consulting to design and develop an administration system to integrate with its existing survey analysis tool. Specpan was looking to optimize its existing tool, in order to create expanded features, better reporting and a better means for its customers to access the survey.
Additionally, the company wanted Amadeus Consulting to provide the Web front-end for which both respondents and clients could use. These two features would give its customers a user-friendly application and in turn would increase the number of respondents, thus increasing the quality and depth of the data.
Given our track record of tackling difficult development environments, Amadeus Consulting integrated the administration system into Specpan's survey application, their existing survey tool. We built the easy-to-use front-end website for clients, as well as the administration tool that gave its employees additional quality control. Specpan was exceptionally pleased with the dynamic survey engine and robust administrative functionality. The results of the project were incredibly successful and included taking an entrepreneurial opportunity into a full-time business venture. Specpan is now a premier national provider of online research panels for the construction industry.
