Lisa Calkins of Amadeus Consulting Elected to Serve as President of the Colorado Federation of Business and Professional Women/USA
Amadeus Consulting today announced the election of its president, Lisa Calkins, to
the position of president of the
Colorado Federation of Business and Professional
Women/USA. The
BPW/USA, a national, non-profit organization based in Washington, DC, is dedicated to helping
women achieve economic self-sufficiency by advancing careers, building businesses
and advocating workplace equity. Ms. Calkins previously served two terms as
president of the
Boulder BPW, one of largest
local business organizations in the country.
As the president and co-founder of Amadeus Consulting, Lisa Calkins is a successful business
leader, dedicated community activist and respected mentor. Her strong values and many
accomplishments have had a positive impact on her business partners, employees and community.
Her company, Amadeus Consulting, is a leading custom software development company, known
for its excellent employee benefits and positive, team-oriented work environment.
Under Ms. Calkin’s leadership, the Boulder BPW has actively supported a wide variety of causes and
organizations. The Boulder BPW holds fund raising events and awards cash grants to local,
non-profit organizations each year. This year’s recipients include the
Boulder Safe House
Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence, YWCA,
MESA (Moving to End Sexual Assault) and
Project Self Sufficiency. The Boulder BPW also provides financial support to the Colorado
BPW Foundation which helps women transform their lives through education.
Since 1976, the Foundation has provided over 300 women with $250,000 in educational scholarships.
